Self Management Courses for carers and partners of people with neurological conditions

Neurological conditions are difficult to live with. They are often hard to understand, can’t be seen and vary day to day sometimes for no apparent reason. People often experience frustration, anxiety, stress, sleeplessness, low mood, isolation, communication and relationship problems. This brings challenges for the person with the condition and the people who care for them.

These courses provide a special opportunity for carers and partners to build skills and gain insights in the self-management approach to health. The aim is to help carers and partners to share self-management ideas with the person they care about. Importantly it is also an opportunity for them to feel more supported and less alone in their responsibilities.

The courses will run through 2021 and will be held online using the Zoom platform. This will enable nationwide access from home. The first course starts on Tuesday 12th January 2021 from 2 pm - 4 pm.
