2021 Group Meetings

The Group programmes for next year are up on the website under the meetings tab.

In order to protect those using our service and our staff, we have been aiming to re-start the local groups in a face-to-face setting in January 2021 providing Government advice and the respective venues allow this to happen.   HOWEVER, some of the venues are not currently open to allow bookings to take place and some are having to significantly restrict numbers making it difficult to deliver group sessions.

We have therefore taken the decision to continue to deliver the scheduled group sessions on-line via Zoom for January and February 2021 in order to ensure that people are not disadvantaged in any way from accessing self-management support.  All groups will continue to meet at the same and date and time as per the programme.  Please phone 0800 783 6059 or email info@painassociaiton.com to book your place on the on-line sessions.  You will then be contacted and provided with joining instructions.

Depending on guidance from the Scottish Government, we plan to re-start the face-to-face group meetings in March 2021.

However, when these do re-start, it is likely that we will be asked to abide by the following guidelines:-

 Before and during each session:

 ·   You will need to register your intention to attend no later than two days before the meeting.

 · You can do this by ringing 0800 783 6059 and leaving a message stating your name and which group you wish to attend i.e. Joe Blogs and Arbroath

 ·  You can also email info@painassociation.com with your name and which group to wish to attend i.e. Joe Blogs and Arbroath.

 · Registering will be done on a first come serve basis and we will let you know if there are no further places available for that session.

 · We will have the necessary hand sanitiser and training officers will be wearing whatever PPE is required.

 ·  You will be asked to follow the guidelines as required by the Scottish Government and the venue.  Please wear a face mask unless you have an exemption from doing so.

 ·  Please arrive on time as if you arrive late you may be turned away.

 ·   Please bring your own refreshments and cups for the break.

Any handouts will be left on your chair rather than be passed round.

The latest updates on the meetings can be found on our website www.painassociation.co.uk and on Social Media – Twitter- @PainAssocScot – Instagram- painassocscot

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you at the sessions.
