5 Week Self-Management Courses

Below is the up-coming courses that we have. Each course lasts 5 weeks and will either be online via Zoom or in person at a venue. Please note that we only have courses in certain health boards and you need to live in the health board to attend.


Angus Online 5 Week Course

Chronic Pain is difficult to live with. It is hard to understand, you can’t see it and it varies day to day sometimes for no apparent reason. In addition to pain, people often experience frustration, anxiety, stress, sleeplessness, low mood, isolation, communication and relationship problems.

The aim of the course is to help you to manage and cope with a painful condition. To be straight with you it is not a ‘fix it’ approach and unlikely to provide instant pain relief. The course will help you to understand more about your situation and the issues that affect your pain and it will help you find new ways to manage and cope with pain

Starting on Monday 13th January 2-4pm. The course will be delivered in online. The style will be friendly with a mixture of education and group discussion and you will be able to ask plenty of questions.  But don’t worry, if you prefer to be quiet then that’s fine too.  Peer support within the group is very helpful and is encouraged. Notes will be sent after every session.

Dundee 5 week Self-Management Course online
